Dreamcast Software Development Standards/Ver.1.00E
Recommended: When illustrating Visual Memory (15.9 VM (Visual Memory) Displays and as used in applications), it should be illustrated as it would appear when placed in front of the user.
In the case of standard controllers, insertion to expansion sockets 1 and 2 is in the forward direction, but in other cases the insertion direction may be different. Confirm the insertion direction of the expansion socket on the corresponding controller, and illustrate appropriately so that the Visual Memory will be readable when inserted in the illustrated direction.
Note: When inserted into an expansion socket which is not displayed on the LCD for user confirmation, such as Expansion Socket 2 on the Dreamcast controller, the Visual Memory does not need to be illustrated.
