14. Ending/Credit Scroll

14.1 Operation at Ending/Credit Scroll

As specified in 4. Soft Reset, the capability of making a soft reset should be enabled during ending/credit scrolling.

Required: In case of displaying license logos (such as True Motion and CRI MPEG Sofdec) during ending/credit scrolling, it should not be possible to skip forward.

14.2 Advancing to the Next Screen

Recommended: When ending and credit scrolling are finished, return to the Title Screen either by timer or by the action of any button.

14.3 Rules for Credit Scrolls

Recommended: (Sega Brand Only) For Sega brand, observe the rules of 14.3.1 to 14.3.10.

As we are currently reviewing the guidelines, the following items may be subject to change.

14.3.1 Obtaining Individuals' Permission

Obtain the permission of the individuals, regardless of whether their real or pen name is to be used.

14.3.2 Obtain Approval of Person Responsible

Each project leader (producer or department head) should be advised and his approval obtained for the credits. If the staff of another department is to be included, approval must also be obtained from the head of that department.

14.3.3 Real/Pen Name Consistency

Staff names should be consistently either real names or pen names as far as possible, to avoid confusion.

14.3.4 Character Set Consistency

Character usage (font/language/character set) should be as consistent as possible.

14.3.5 Title Consistency

Staff titles in the credits should follow actual tasks and avoid wide diversions from actual status or non-sensical titles.

14.3.6 Note on Pen Name Usage

Pen names should follow the general guidelines and proper customs.

14.3.7 Part-Time and Contract Employee Treatment

Part-Time and contract employees are generally excluded from appearing in the credit scroll. However, if it is considered necessary, observe 14.3.1 to obtain the approval from the responsible person.

14.3.8 OEM Treatment

Display of staff names of another company should comply with 14.3.1 to 14.3.7 and conform to the contract document.

14.3.9 Prohibited Issues to Note

Words related to copyrights may not appear in personal titles.

Confidential items to be kept secure from other companies such as the development period, development materials, etc.

Sega internal department names (project team names are acceptable)

Personal identification materials such as photos and realistic portraits

Personal identification information such as addresses and telephone numbers

14.3.10 Display of Original Credits in Transplants from Other Models

Unless specifically regulated by contract documents, the original names in the credits should not appear with a different model.
